Overview
HydroGoal is a personal water-tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information HydroGoal handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have. By using HydroGoal you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information You Provide
During setup HydroGoal asks you for a small amount of personal information so it can personalize your tracking: a display name (which can be anything you choose), your body weight, and your daily hydration goal. You can change all of these any time inside the Profile tab. HydroGoal does not require an email address, phone number, password, or any account credentials.
2. Where Your Data Is Stored
All information you enter and every drink you log is saved only on your device, in the local storage area assigned to HydroGoal by your operating system (AsyncStorage on iOS and Android). HydroGoal does not transmit, upload, sync, or back up your information to any server, cloud account, or third-party service. If you uninstall HydroGoal your data is removed with the app.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
HydroGoal does not collect, process, or transmit your real name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, payment information, advertising identifiers, IP address, browsing history, or biometric data. The app has no user accounts and no login.
4. Notifications
If you turn on hydration reminders, HydroGoal schedules notifications using your device’s built-in local notification system. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device. We do not see whether or when notifications are delivered, and no information leaves your device to make them work. You can turn reminders off at any time from the Profile tab or your operating system’s notification settings.
5. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
HydroGoal contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no behavioral tracking, no advertising frameworks, and no crash-reporting services that transmit personal information. We do not measure your usage of the app or share any usage information with anyone.
6. Children’s Privacy
HydroGoal is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the app does not collect or transmit any user information off-device, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Third-Party Platforms
HydroGoal is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google may collect information about app installs, crashes, and store interactions according to their own published policies, which we do not control. Please review Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for details about that data.
8. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Because all of your information stays on your device, you have full and direct control over it. You can edit your name, weight, goal, and reminders inside the Profile tab. You can remove individual drink entries from the Today’s Timeline list on the Home screen. To delete everything HydroGoal knows about you, uninstall the app — that wipes the local storage HydroGoal uses on your device.
9. Security
Your information is protected by the standard sandboxing and storage protections that iOS and Android provide for installed apps. Because nothing is transmitted off your device, the most important thing you can do to protect HydroGoal data is to keep your device locked with a passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this screen will change. Continued use of HydroGoal after an update means you accept the revised policy.
